Apple Salad

“Apple Salad”

Today Classroom 100 & 102, made Apple Salad in Café 13. The scholars were very excited to mix all of the ingredients which included: 6 medium apples, ½ cup of raisins, ½ teaspoons of cinnamon and ¼ cup of white grape juice! The scholars learned how to measure using the measuring cup and they were able to count how many apples they should use for the “Apple Salad”. Each scholar had a chance to identify the name of each ingredient, mix them together and then taste another one of our fun fall snacks!

Pumpkin Bread

Look Who’s Cooking? Prek 3 & 4! We are making Pumpkin Bread…

Ms. Adames and Ms. Dunnell class decided to have a cooking adventure together. We have been talking and studying pumpkins in our classrooms. The scholars were thrilled when they found out that they were going to be cooking in Café 13! Both classes went to the kitchen to begin our cooking adventure. Each scholar washed their hands and helped to mix and pour the ingredients. The ingredients included: Pumpkin Quick Bread Mix, 1 Cup of Water, 3 Tablespoon of Oil, and 2 eggs. The scholars were able to be hands on with this cooking activity. They were able to help pour the mix in the bread baking pan. At the end, the scholars were able to taste the delicious pumpkin bread and bring the classroom theme into the kitchen!
