My Very Own Library Event
On November 21st, 2011, the students of Thirteenth Avenue School were given the gift of reading during the first of three My Very Own Library events that will take place over the course of the year. This wonderful program enables each of our students to select and keep ten books in order to grow their very own home library and love of reading. While the students received the gift of books, the teachers and administrators were given the gift of seeing the excitement on the students’ faces as they entered the newly renovated media center with dozens of choices of books from which to choose.
