Thirteenth Avenue School celebrated the 2010 Holiday Season with a week of fun-filled events. The Thirteenth Avenue School Social Committee hosted a Holiday Dinner on Monday, December 20th from 3-5 p.m. in the Bert R. Berry Media Center. On Tuesday, December 21st, The Thirteenth Avenue School PTA hosted a Holiday Breakfast for staff.
On Wednesday, December 22nd The Thirteenth Avenue Inspirational Choir held its annual Holiday Concert under the Direction of Ms. Andrea Collins, Mr. Mecal Jones, Mrs. Eunice Benjamin, and Mr. Reginald Docke. The program was dedicated to Mrs. Eunice Benjamin a 25-year veteran teacher who will be retiring after the holidays.
Some of the songs that the Choir sang included: "I really Love You", "Emmanuel", "Grateful", "This Christmas" and "Back to Eden".
The primary grade division held a Holiday Festival in the school Gymnasium on Wednesday, December 22nd. Students had the opportunity to make holiday ornaments, decorate cupcakes and enjoy warm apple cider and fun-filled games.
